Chelsea have kept their hopes alive of winning four trophies this season , the Blues beat Blackburn Rovers in the semifinal of FA Cup. It is worthwhile remembering that Chelsea have already won the Carling Cup, just 3 point behind Manchester United in the English Premier League and are in the semifinal of UEFA Champions League.

Interestingly, this hard fought victory against Blackburn Rovers means that Chelsea will face Manchester United in the final of FA Cup at new Wembley stadium next month.

Blackburn played well against the English champions but it was Chelsea that possessed more quality to get through. Chelsea scored early thanks to Frank Lampard’s brilliant strike but Blackburn didn’t give up and kept attacking. Finally, getting the reward when Roberts leveled the scoreline in 64 minute. Despite being held at goal apiece in the regulation time, German midfielder Michael Ballack scored a brilliant goal in the extra time to give Chelsea a victory over Blackburn.
